Vehicle Fires

If your vehicle catches on fire, it was likely your fault – at least according to Highways England; you are guilty until you prove your innocence (R07B201) with Highways England writing in respect of a fire:

‘In the ordinary course of events, damage such as that caused in this incident does not occur without negligence.’

Indeed, the Authority appears to be taking an onerous stance toward drivers and their vehicles; if your car failed an MoT in its history, irrespective of it subsequently passing, the vehicle is blighted from Highways England’s perspective!
